đ¨đ¨đ¨ BREAKING NEWS đ¨đ¨đ¨
Weâre going virtual and YOUâRE INVITED!

Yes, you read that right! The 2022 YCS Style Retreat is going virtual and youâre going to WANT to be there!
With the cases of Covid-19 and other communicable diseases on the rise, I made the difficult decision to post-pone our in-person retreat until March 24-26, 2023.
Instead, Iâll be hosting a virtual retreat Saturday October 1 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm!!! The best part, Iâll be bringing you all of our retreat speakers PLUS Iâve added a new panel discussion youâre going to LOVE!
If I have learned nothing else over the past two-and-a-half years, I have learned how to pivot. And, once again, I’m doing that by taking the YCS Style Retreat virtual!
But, not to fear . . . because I’m still so excited to provide you with a powerful, insightful, and intimate experience during this year’s virtual retreat! Not only will our original retreat speakers be joining us, the virtual retreat will feature a BRAND NEW closing panel that I know you will absolutely LOVE!
This expertly curated virtual event will bring together dynamic speakers, inspirational sessions and TONS of fun â all from the comfort of your home (or favorite coffee bar, or favorite beach chair, or wherever you can relax and focus).

LaToya Martin is passionate about her faith, family, and fun! She was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. The winters were not her friend, so she took her talents to the east coast for college. She earned a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from Howard University, in Washington, DC where she participated with the Baptist Student Ministry, School of Business Student Council, Howard Homecoming Committee, National Council of Negro Women, and a member of The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Iota Rho Chapter.
Upon completion of her degree, she moved to King of Prussia, PA to work as an auditor for SEI Investments. It was there that her passion for internal audit and the financial services industry grew. SEI introduced LaToya to two organizations for community engagement, City Year and Big Brother Big Sister of America. These two organizations became her focus for volunteering in the broader Philadelphia community and allowed her to make an impact. She was blessed to find Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia where she continued to cultivate and mature her relationship with Christ. While a member of Enon, LaToya was an active member of Fire Escape (Young Adult Ministry), Praise Team and Spirit of David dance ministry. LaToya continued her love for dance by dancing semiprofessionally with West Chester Dance Works, under the teaching of Diane Matthews (one of the founding members of Philadanco). It was with West Chester Dance Works where she performed in the production of âRachel Harrisâ, which was about the freedom of a runaway slave in Pennsylvania.
LaToya moved with her family to Keller, TX in January 2012. Upon arrival, there was an immediate need to find a new church home. The Potterâs House of Dallas became their new home. It was there that LaToya was able to join the Women and Dance Ministries. She had the privilege of performing for large conferences and influential leaders. This experience gave her the confidence to create her own dance company, Elle Dionne LLC. A place here no matter your size, religion, or affiliation, everyone is welcome to enjoy the movement of dance. In addition, she did not forget her roots and continues to volunteer with the Junior League of America in Arlington and Big Brother Big Sister of America. She recently became an active member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
LaToya and her family reside in Haslet, TX. She is the proud wife of Chef John Martin Jr., mother of 2 sons: John (Tre) and Luke (affectionally known as the âbible brothersâ). Currently, LaToya is the Head of Risk and Controls for the Chief Administrator Office at The Bank of New York Mellon. She is a Lean
Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Control Self-Assessment Auditor, and has her Masterâs in Business Administration from Texas A&M Commerce. In her spare time, you can catch her working out with E2E Family, reading a good book (Black authors are her favorite), assisting her husband with his
catering company âChefâs Plateâ, and/or being a chauffeur for her boysâ activities. If asked she will tell you her favorite scripture is âAbove all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from itâ Proverbs 4:23.
